Washington, D.C. - The Global Peace Festival will host a Food Drive for Peace on Saturday August 9, 2008 from 11:00 am - 5:00 pm in various locations around the D.C. area. This will give every participant in the Global Peace Festival an opportunity to contribute to the Million Acts of Service and Kindness.

San Juan del Alto, Peru - In a small farming community in southern Peru, many people struggle to feed their families while working on land that belongs to others. In July, this community hosted youth from the International Relief Friendship Foundation who came to help improve village life while learning about the challenges faced by its residents.

Tierra Nueva, Guatemala - More than 200 children participated in a special sports activity led by two representatives of Peace Dream, Diesa Seidel and Janna Gullery, as well as by Mr. Luis Navarro, coordinator of Moving Dreams, a project of Pro Paz. This took place in the Settlement Tierra Nueva 1 in Guatemala.
